Superintendent Update

On Jan 11, 2024, the Siletz Valley Schools Board of Directors met in Executive Session to interview a potential Interim principal/superintendent.  The result: the Board authorized Board Chair (Will Worman) to negotiate a contract with Ginger Redlinger, a superintendent that retired last June, who is very interested in working with Siletz Valley Schools.

“Our Board reached out to COSA and LCSD to get help in searching out candidates that can help us heal, and help us forge the community’s student-centered vision. We feel Mrs. Redlinger was the perfect choice for the Siletz Valley Schools and will help parents, staff, and students feel valued, supported and proud of their contributions to the school. Community trust needs to be restored and we will work on this as a team” said Board Chairman Will Worman.

Redlinger is a 31-year veteran heart-centered educator who brings a long list of personal and professional knowledge. Her experiences include work in charter schools, Oregon Department of Education, coaching and mentoring teams and athletes, with an emphasis on culturally respectful and responsive education.  Her first official day is January 29th.  She will serve as the interim for as long as the community needs as it prepares for the search for a permanent superintendent.
