Siletz Valley School is a K-12 public charter school serving 235 students within the Siletz-Logsden communities in the Lincoln County School District. On July 1, 2019, Siletz Valley School  (SVS K-8) added Siletz Valley Early College Academy (SVECA 9-12) to form the current K-12 school.

Throughout this planning process, two priority needs rose to the surface: 1) The need for drastic approaches to address the critical mental health needs as well as the rising behavioral health needs of our students; and 2) the need to reduce the disparities while increasing the academic achievements of our historically underserved student populations,—Siletz Tribal Native American students. Additionally, we need to expand our curriculum options with more relevant and well-rounded educational experience for our students. In having to deliver instruction through online means due to COVID-19, we admit we were unprepared to offer and deliver a consistent high quality learning experience to the same standards we expected due to teachers and students’ inequitable access to reliable technology.
